Meet Adam

Our 14-year-old son Adam loves hockey. To help fund his sport, he started looking for a job — applied to Publix, Walmart, a handful of fast-food places. Nobody got back to him.

So he tried something else. He's a good baker, and after he brought a batch of his chocolate chip cookies to school, kids kept asking for more. Someone said, "You should sell these." Within a few weeks he had a small business going.

He bakes the cookies himself. We help with what he can't do yet — and we're proud he's figuring it out on his own.
